Footscan Gait Analysis

At Footman Podiatry, our biomechanics assessment includes gait analysis using a state‑of‑the‑art Footscan pressure plate system as standard. As you walk over the plate, thousands of sensors record exactly how pressure moves through your feet with each step, highlighting areas of overload, instability and asymmetry that can’t be seen with the naked eye.

After your assessment, you’ll receive a clear summary report showing how your feet interact with the ground during gait. Your podiatrist uses this detailed data and report to help:

• Confirm or refine your diagnosis
• Identify which structures are under excess stress
• Decide whether you would benefit from insoles or custom orthotics
• Design a targeted, evidence‑based treatment plan (including exercises, footwear advice and other interventions)
