Meet Shan, our amazing registered nurse!

Shan has been a familiar face to our patients since she started working at Footman Podiatry as an administrator part-time whilst she was completing her degree in Paediatric Nursing BSc, something she achieved with honours in 2024!

Through speaking with numerous patients, Shan realised a pattern of patients finding difficulty with locating a local qualified and reliable clinician who could offer ear wax removal. She subsequently completed the necessary additional training and started to offer ‘Ear Microsuction and Irrigation’ at Footman Podiatry as of 2025.

In January of 2026 Shan welcomed her and her husband Barney’s beautiful twin boys, Arthur and Jasper, into the world and is due to be on maternity leave for the remainder of the year. Ear microsuction and irrigation will become available in online bookings upon her return to work in 2027.
