Meet Steve, one of our directors and Podiatrists!

A Podiatrist of 40 years, Steve is passionate about ensuring his patients remain independent by preventing mobility issues through early and appropriate intervention/ prevention. Whilst Steve has a special interest in Diabetic feet, he prides himself on his ability to diagnose and treat any foot and ankle problem. Steve’s favourite part about his job is when a patient enters the clinic in severe pain and, through his specialist treatment, is able to exit the clinic completely pain-free; something he finds highly rewarding.

Steven graduated in 1986 from the Sussex School of Podiatry, and attained his degree in Podiatric Medicine (BSc) in 1989 from the University of Brighton. During the 1990’s Steven was the diabetes clinical lead at City Hospital Birmingham, before moving into general management within the NHS.

Outside of Footman Podiatry, Steve enjoys holidays and spending time with his five children and his wife, Christina. He also loves watching musical theatre and has been a long-time member of the Burton Musical Theatre Company, with whom he has performed in, and directed, countless shows over the years.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My first foot care experiment with Barney and it turned out to be a game changer! A very easy process to book appointments, a very welcoming staff in a clean and clinical environment and all local to me. Barney was very approachable and clearly explained the issues, possible solutions and any ongoing treatment that might help. After that Barney worked on a thorough pedicure. It left me feeling this was going to be the way forward. After continuing suggested treatments at home I will certainly be back again. Would highly recommend Barney and Footman Podiatry to anyone considering help with their feet.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a very sore toe and made an appointment with Barney who was very thorough checking it, it was an ingrowing toe nail. Barney treated it and then gave my feet a health check as I am a diabetic all fine. A couple of days later my toe seemed red and I left a message, Steve phoned me to say he would look at it straight away, all is well, just healing. Steve said Barney will phone me in a couple of weeks to just check. Brilliant first class service from them both, thank you.
